The Darlington Flyer, in the heart of Darlington’s town centre, has reopened following a £133,000 refurbishment by Craft Union Pub Company. Current winners of the Best Community Operator category at the Publican Awards, Craft Union Pub Company prides itself on operating the best pubs for their communities, creating social hubs where everyone is welcome, and this investment into the Darlington Flyer does just that.
From entertainment and community events to live sport, there truly is something for everyone. Now open to 2am every Friday and Saturday night with DJs playing the best party tunes, The Darlington Flyer is the place to go and dance the night away.
The week kicks off at the Darlington Flyer with Monday afternoon’s Dominoes Knockout and ‘Monday Club’ full of games, with prizes to be won. Tuesdays see the pub host their afternoon Bingo from 12pm, they then welcome guests for the pub’s Race Day on Thursday afternoons.
The Darlington Flyer is being looked after by Connor Foston, who brings a wealth of experience with him as he starts the next chapter of the pub’s history. Speaking on the refurbishment, he said “It’s been great to reopen the doors with our new look and meet the regulars of this popular pub. Opening later on a Friday and Saturday has given the opportunity to provide guests with a chance to enjoy a proper night out with us, the atmosphere is great, and our DJs really do play to the crowd.”
The perfect pub for sports fans in the area too. With nine TV screens and a pull-down projector, guests can enjoy the biggest sporting action across BT and Sky Sports from all angles. Not only has the sports viewing experience been improved but the addition of a new pool table and illuminated darts area enables friends to take each other on in some healthy competition.
