The Fatling Pub in Hornchurch has demonstrated the true meaning of community spirit raising a formidable amount of money for Noahs Ark charity over the summer months.

From a 12- mile hike involving 300 Spartans to a festival bonanza at the pub itself, the creative fundraisers’ know no bounds, blisters and dancing shoes remaining firmly in tact as they triumphed with £2,845 raised for their nominated charity.

“We are so overwhelmed by the support our customers have shown us, we are like a tight knit family and customers are continuously happy to dip in their pockets for a great cause” said general manager Sandy Castle.

Most recently the pub hosted its very own festival on August bank holiday weekend, this in itself raised £840 and included performances from local bands and DJs such as; The Strides, Cadence, Mojo Rising and DJ Lloydd with the party continuing well into the night.

Daisy Wilson from Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice said, “We are delighted that the Fatling has chosen Noah’s Ark as their charity. It is through donations like this that we can provide support for those who have children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.”

“ We aim to create great events that bring the community together and I think we do exactly that. Our fundraising efforts wont stop their either, watch this space there may be a few more on the cards! “ added Sandy.
