Easter fun at the Phantom in aid of Sense
A pub in Loughborough, The Phantom on Leicester Road, is to host a weekend of fundraising activities and events from fancy dress parties to Easter egg hunts over the Easter weekend.
Assistant manager Jamie Du’Chesne, who is coordinating the weekend’s events, is hoping to reach his target of £500 for SENSE, the national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind.
Activities at the pub, which is owned by Stonegate Pub Company, will run from Maundy Thursday (5th April) through to Easter Monday (9th April) and include a raffle for prizes, donated by local businesses, such as a delicious Thorntons Easter bunny, to be drawn at 5pm on Easter Monday, a pirate-themed fancy dress party on Saturday evening with prizes for the best dressed and an Easter egg hunt for children on Easter Sunday at midday.
“We’ve an action-packed weekend planned at the Phantom with plenty of prizes and tons of chocolate to be won throughout the five days, so come along and join us for what promises to be a fun-filled few days”, said Jamie.
“I chose Sense because it’s a charity I feel strongly about. I personally couldn’t imagine living with either deafness or blindness but for some people to suffer with both, it must be really difficult”, he continued.
