Britain’s Biggest Pub Tour (BBPT) is underway and is heading to Walsall later this month. The BBPT which is in aid of Variety, the Children’s Charity will make its way into Walsall on Tuesday 17th June visiting Yates’s on Leicester Street.

Each of the 620 pubs and bars from the award-winning Stonegate Pub Company will take part in the event, by organizing fundraising events galore to raise money for Variety, the Children’s Charity. As well as hosting fun events at the pubs, across towns and cities from the Isle of Wight to Inverness, a giant BBPT passport will journey 5,555 miles throughout the UK visiting each Stonegate business, by an assortment of unique and entertaining methods of transport.

As the largest pub tour ever attempted in the UK, excitement and anticipation for the event in Walsall is already high with crowds of customers expected to participate. The BBPT Passport is set to reach Yates’s at 7pm on Tuesday 17th June, delivered by the team from the Red Lion in Wednesfield via the Wye Valley Brewery’s vintage rally mini. The following day, the team at Yates’s led by its manager Lindsay Wakeman, will leave the pub at 8.30am and transport the BBPT Passport to the Yard in Stafford, courtesy of the Black Country Bus Tour. Joining them on the bus, which will be festooned with banners and balloons, will be regulars from the pub.

In an additional to boost funds for Variety, the Children’s Charity, the pub has created a humorous ‘Men of Walsall 2015’ calendar featuring some of the team members and door staff from the pub. The calendar is currently available to purchase from the pub.
