Britain’s Biggest Pub Tour Takes Off… from Poole to Plymouth

The passport recording Britain’s Biggest Pub Tour (BBPT) will be arriving in the Slug and Lettuce, Poole on Sunday 25th May at 5pm on the second leg of a fundraising journey going from Poole to Plymouth with the aim to raise money for Variety, the Children’s Charity.

Residents along this route can look forward to a variety of fun charity activity when the passport arrives in Poole, travelling via trains, tractors, stilts, unicycles, buses and bikes.

The team at the Living Room will be setting up a go-cart track in Bristol’s Millennium Square on Tuesday 27th May between 4pm to 6pm, whilst Molloys on Baldwin Street will be hosting a celebratory party from 7pm withlive music from the rock cover band, Avalanche.

This leg will culminate in Plymouth on Friday 30th May with a family fun day complete with a fun fair and raffle at the Berkeley on Princess Street, followed by a send-off in the evening at Flares and Reflex on UnionStreet.

On 1st June, the passport will be whisked away to the Three Brewers in Cardiff for a third round of fundraising action.

BBPT is taking place across all 623 of the award-winning Stonegate Pub Company ‘s pubs and bars and will commence on 18th May when a giant passport leaves Yates’s, Hastings.


The tour will see the BBPT passport journey throughout the UK visiting each Stonegate business culminating in a spectacular party when it arrives at the final destination in London on Friday 26th September.

The Variety Children’s Charity do so much for families in our area and we are hoping to raise as much as money as possible for them, to ensure that they can continue their work.”

As part of the fundraising 50p from the sale of special Charity tipples, Strawberry Pimm’s or a pint of specially brewed real ale, The Crawler (Golden Blonde ale 4.1 ABV) will be donated to the Variety, the Children’s Charity.
