The team at the Slug and Lettuce in Chester are celebrating this week after being awarded first prize in a nationwide customer service survey.

The team beat off stiff competition from 72 other Slug and Lettuce teams around the UK in the mystery customer survey carried out online by www.slugandlettuce.co.uk . Since the beginning of the year Slug and Lettuce customers who dined at any one of the 73 bars from Edinburgh to Poole were invited to registered feedback online via the bar group’s ‘Lettuce Know survey’.

Chester Slug and Lettuce received the most number of positive scores with Kelly Randle-Hayes scooping the prize for the server with the most number of exceptional service nominations.

Kelly wins £150 cash prize whilst the team are given a £250 staff party to celebrate. Customers who enter the survey are put forward for a monthly prize draw of £1000 cash.

Amy Wilson, manager of Slug and Lettuce Chester said of the win, “The whole team have really pulled out all the stops to make sure our customers really enjoyed their visits. We are so delighted by the win and really proud of Kelly for picking up the exceptional service award. We’re certainly looking forward to the staff party to celebrate and have our sight set on winning again next quarter!”

“Congratulations to Amy, Kelly and the team at Chester – a deserved win. Our Lettuce Know survey is a win-win for customers as our teams are so keen to win the staff party they are all upping their game when it comes to customer service. For customers too the chance to win a £1000 is well worth the two minutes it takes to post the online feedback”, said Nicola Stuart, Brand Development Manager at Slug and Lettuce.
