A Nottingham pub, Willow Tree on Rufford Way is to host a family fun day over Easter in aid of West Bridgford FC’s charity, ‘Colts to Africa’.

The fun day, which takes place on Easter Saturday (7 April) between midday and 5pm, will include a live performance from local Nottingham band ‘Soul Town Six’. As well as a bouncy castle and face painting for the younger family members, customers can try their footie skills out in the ‘beat the goalie’ competition and shop for goodies at the various stalls set up for the day.

Paul Burgess, assistant manager of Willow Tree and coordinator of the fundraising weekend is hoping to raise over £500 for the charity which sends first team and colts players from West Bridgford FC to Africa to help build football pitches and train youngsters in the beautiful game.

“We’re hoping for a big turnout as it should a brilliant day. Soul Town Six are hugely popular with our customers and we’re planning plenty of entertainment to keep the little ones amused too. We’re proud sponsors of West Bridgford FC and are delighted that we can help their charity Colts to Africa with our fundraising. We’d like to invite the people of Nottingham to join us over Easter, for what promises to be a brilliant start to 2012’s summer of fun,” said Paul.

The Willow Tree will also be hosting an Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday between 12-1pm and an enormous Easter egg raffle throughout the weekend.
