No, we’re not talking about a significant other (although, you might find one of those too!), we’re talking about a feast of wonders from the sea as Stonegate’s Classic Inns introduce their latest event – The Fish Festival.

From the 1st April until 30th May, foodies can enjoy a whole range of fresh, flavourful, fishy goodness including smoked haddock and potato chowder, char-grilled hake, grilled sea bass or sole, Atlantic salmon and king prawn risotto. For those who fancy a bit of everything, the pubs present the Seafood Mixed Grill, served with crushed heritage potatoes and a super-food salad. Pair with a glass of Picpoul de Pinet or if you’re in the mood for bubbly, treat yourself to a bottle of English fizz with a beautiful Chapel Down Blanc.

Sam Maynard, Senior Marketing Manager, said: “Did you know there are over 30,000 known species of fish? Me neither! That’s just one of the amazing facts we discovered as we did our research for this menu. We are constantly evolving our dishes and flavours to ensure that we keep offering customers new, exciting meals to try out.”

As if that’s not enough, the pubs will also introduce additional dishes and offers as part of their spring menu, such as the Over 65 Club (Tuesday), Spice Night (Wednesday), Steak Night (Thursday) and a brand new menu for the little ones which, in keeping with the fish theme, includes a classic British hand-battered fish and chips meal.
