FOUR AWARDS WON AT BEST BAR NONE

Stonegate Pub Company won four awards at the Luton Best Bar None awards, including overall winner, at the annual event held Wednesday 11th May,

The Red Lion on Castle Street, run by General Manager Kim Finan, scooped the ‘lion share’ presented with the highest accreditation Gold award, the best evening economy venue for 2016 and ‘Overall Winner’ by the judges; whilst Yates Luton was commended with a Silver Award.

The scheme commended 14 venues in total and presented three awards, before announcing the overall winner.

Chief Executive Simon Longbottom applauded the teams: “Best Bar None is a great scheme that publically recognises venues operating to the highest standards. It is testament to the great work of Kim, and Paul Mulcrone from Yates, that they were able to impress the judges after rigorous inspections during which they excelled in demonstrating their professional approach to responsible retailing.”

Best Bar None is a National Award Scheme supported by the Home Office and aimed at promoting responsible management and operation of alcohol licensed premises.
