Hogshead pub in Wolverhampton has been shortlisted for The Best cask Beer Pub’ at the ‘BT Sport Great British Pub Awards’.

The pub, which is owned and operated by the award winning Stonegate Pub Company, is one of six pubs across the UK vying for the crown which will be announced tomorrow, Thursday 12 September 2013, at an awards ceremony at London Hilton in Park Lane.

Hogshead’s General Manager Jonathan Jenkins will join guests at the prestigious event which is hosted by William Reed, publishers of industry newspaper The Publican’s Morning Advertiser.

Hogshead has been shortlisted from hundreds of entries. The judges for this year’s awards are BII Chief Executive Tim Hulme, Pub in the Hub Chief Executive John Longden, David Hancock, Guide editor for Alistair Sawday’s Pubs and Inns, Ali Carter, licensed retail specialist from Pub Mentor and leading beer writer, Pete Brown.
