Hyde Park pub has been crowned Best Pub in Leeds 2014 by Yorkshire Evening Post readers. The pub on Headingley Lane, which is owned and operated by Stonegate Pub Company, scooped the title from a shortlist of seventeen pubs in the City.
Readers from the newspaper texted and posted in coupons to register their vote for their favourite with Sean Greenish, promotions co-ordinator at the YEP, commenting of the Hyde Park’s win, “We were inundated with votes from the word go.”
Hyde Park general manager Richard Seaman told of his delight at the establishment’s confirmation as the best local in the business. He said: “We are so pleased, it’s absolutely amazing news. We try to appeal to students and other residents alike, so knowing they have got behind us and helped us win makes it all the more special.”
