Finchley pub, the Joiners Arms is counting down the days to this Thursday 6th June when it will showcase its new look following a £140,000 investment.

The pub, which is owned and operated by the award-winning pub company, Stonegate Pub Company, is currently closed for a ten day refurbishment, re-opening with a celebratory party on Friday. As a result of the refurbishment ten additional new jobs will be created at the pub.

Designers and builders are currently working their magic transforming the pub on Ballards Lane with a stylish new décor scheme and altered layout to allow for greater dining space. Additional hand pumps for cask beer are being installed so that Daniel and his team can offer customers a choice of varied national and local ales, whilst sports enthusiasts will be delighted to hear the pub will welcome a further five Sky-linked plasma screens for sports viewing.

The pub’s general manager, Daniel Niedbalski will be hosting a party to celebrate the refurbishment with a champagne and canapé reception for invited guests and local businesses from 5pm. The doors will then open to the public from 7pm for the launch during which customers will be treated to a live performance from local band The Big Chief Band. The pub has pledged to donate all money raised during the evening to North London based charity the Willow Foundation.

“There has been much anticipation amongst our customers about the refurbishment and the team and I are looking forward to showing the people of Finchley the new-look Joiners Arms on during our launch night on Friday”, said Daniel Neidbalski. “We have decided to fundraise during our opening evening and throughout June for the Willow Tree Foundation, a local charity supporting those who are seriously ill, as we were so moved by its support for people in need within our community.”

Following the refurbishment the pub will be extending its trading times opening daily from 8.00am to serve breakfast and offer takeaway coffees. It will also introduce a loyalty card scheme so that every sixth breakfast for customers is on the house.
