Newmarket Bar returns to Falkirk as pub enjoys refurbishment

One of Falkirk’s landmark pubs, which is owned and operated by Stonegate Pub Company, is to return its original name ‘Newmarket Bar’ on 29th November following a whirlwind makeover.

The pub, formerly The Goose, on Upper Newmarket Street in the town has temporarily closed for a refurbishment and will re-open this Friday 29th November at 6pm. General Manager Alexis Kelly and her team are planning a special celebration – a live performance from local singer David Bateman followed by a disco party night by Scott of Danzen Party People.

Customers will be treated to complimentary tasters from the pub’s Christmas buffet menu at the freshly refurbished Newmarket Bar.

Alongside new décor and furnishings the pub will be introducing a handpull cask ale pump so that customers can enjoy the taste of local Scottish beers kicking off with William Brothers Brewery’s ‘Birds and Bees’.

The celebrations will continue throughout the re-launch weekend with the return of the pub’s hugely popular Saturday night karaoke evening hosted by Scott and Danny.

Newmarket Bar’s General Manager Alexis Kelly, said, “Our customers are really excited about the refurbishment and the return to the pub’s original name. The plans look spectacular and I can’t wait until it’s completed so we can show off the new look pub. The pub’s makeover is perfect timing, just before Christmas. We have a brilliant Christmas menu this year and with our lovely new pub, where better to celebrate the party season than at Newmarket Bar.

The pub which opens daily from 10.00 am serving breakfasts and freshly brewed Lavazza coffee will continue to offer some of the best deals on the high street.

Commenting on the menu General Manager Alexis Kelly said, “Our Sunday roasts are pretty legendary, freshly roasted beef or chicken served in a giant Yorkshire pudding with all the trimmings. Our customers love them and it’s easy to see why.”
