Popworld Comes to Leeds!

After much speculation, we can now reveal a slice of nostalgia is set to hit Leeds on the 26th May 2017 with the opening of legendary party venue, Popworld.

Known for championing noughties nostalgia, Popworld has forged a legendary status across the UK for providing memorable nights out filled with fun, laughter and the best pop tunes in town. And, with Leeds being the birthplace of one of the most famous 90s-icons in the world, Mel B, it was the obvious choice as the next city to be given its very own Popworld!

Taking over the former Baa Bar site on Cookridge Street, the venue has received over a quarter of a million pounds makeover to make it picture-perfect ahead of opening night later this month. Providing customers with the only place in town dedicated to showcasing 90s cheese and party, Popworld will be the place to be for those that want to let their hair down and enjoy the best soundtrack to a night on the tiles.

Whether it’s the Spice Girls, S Club, Five or Steps that get you into the party mood, visiting Popworld is sure to transform your night into one you’ll remember. What’s more, customers will be able to indulge themselves with a range of offers on cocktails including the sweet-shop inspired Candy Pop, Tin Pop, which come served in a unique tin can, Swedish jam-jar cocktail Flaska, not forgetting the bar’s famous giant sharing cocktail Partini!

Alan Armstrong, Head of Marketing for Popworld, said: “Popworld is one the most popular clubbing brands in the UK and it was only a matter of time before we brought its colourful personality to Leeds. The city’s nightlife scene is already one of the best in the country, and given the increase in demand for the brand, we can’t wait to open our doors to the people of Yorkshire!”

Alan Armstrong continued: “To celebrate the launch S-Club 7 duo Jo and Bradley will be live on stage performing their greatest hits on Saturday 27th May.”

The venue will open with special invite-only preview night on Thursday 25th May, before opening to the public on Friday 26th May with a VI-Pop launch event. For more information and to RSVP, email Ben, Philly or Laura on Venues@lucre.co.uk or call 0113 243 1117.
