REVAMPING PARTY AT THE BARLEY MOW

It was a short closure. It felt like a lifetime for Warrington pub lovers. The Barley Mow on the Market Place is welcoming everyone back to see it’s new sparkle look with a revamping party on Friday 11th March, following the re-opening on the 10th.

Local Warrington band Dogbone will be there to create the party mood from 9pm, playing everything from current chart music to old time favourites……. But in their distinctive style of rock!

A heap of new features are on offer – and to help the party along this Friday, two-for-one cocktails from 5pm, also available every Friday – including Good Friday!

Manager James Whimperley said, “The Barley Mow is a 500 year old pub, so light upgrades every few years like this one, keeps things fresh – customers are welcome from 10th March. Whilst we have a remarkable old building though, we do like to keep our offer current.

“New console nights on Monday are a great example - Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and a PlayStation 2 for all gamers out there to enjoy. We’ve also started opening from 8am to invite customers in for breakfast – bacon, sausage and egg muffins at just £2.49.”

Owners Stonegate Pub Company has added lots for Warrington customers to enjoy. Tuesday students’ night, with great drinks deals; Retro Wednesday with board games from Snakes and Ladders to Monopoly making an appearance; thinking caps at the ready for Thursday Quiz Night with the chance to win a bar tab; and live music every last Saturday of the month.

Delicious hand food is available on rugby game nights such as burgers and hot dogs for just £2.95 or 40 delicious chicken wings for £6.90 with four-pint jug purchases.

Other menu remain on offer – two meals for £7.99 all day every day; a different offer each day Monday to Friday - go large specials £4.99, burger and a drink £4.99, pie and a pint £5.99, grill and a drink £8.45, and classic dish and a drink £5.99 finishing the week on Fridays.

Reassuring customers he still believes in the Sunday dinner tradition, James added: “We are definitely keeping our Sunday roast with fresh vegetables, roasted potatoes and Yorkshire puddings for £6.29. We’re not depriving our customers of that!”
