Santa Claus has promised to take time out from his busy schedule in the week before Christmas to meet with children in Birmingham.

He has, with the help of pub manager Janet Ward, installed his grotto in the pub garden at The Great Stone on Church Street and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of children.

Santa and his helpful elf will be opening the grotto on Wednesday 21, Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd December from 4-8pm. Entrance is free to all children but donations will be accepted in aid of the Edwards Trust, a charity providing practical and emotional support to the children and families of those receiving care at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

“This is the fifth year that Santa Claus has visited us at the Great Stone and we’re grateful to him for finding the time during the busiest week of his year. We hope that as a many children from in and around Birmingham pop along to visit him again this year”, said Janet Ward, manager of The Great Stone.
