Have the January blues got to you yet? Well, the Slug and Lettuce on Derby Square in Epsom is looking to turn that frown upside down by giving away £500 worth of holiday vouchers at its VIP Apres-Ski reopening party on Saturday 26th January.

A new year brings a new look and offer at the Slug and Lettuce. The bar closed on the weekend to make way for an investment of almost £130,000 by the Stonegate Pub Company, the business that owns and operates the Slug and Lettuce. The bar has also created a new job as a result of the investment and will be looking to create two more part time roles once the Slug and Lettuce is up and running.

Opening to the public at 10am on Thursday 17th January, changes to the Slug and Lettuce include a new stylish colour scheme of sea green, plum and silver; the creation of a new layout with the removal of a wall, a raised area and the inclusion of two circular booths, perfect for parties and celebrations.

Sky Sports has also been installed along with a large projector and two plasma screens, ensuring that customers will be able to see every pass, kick, try and goal in the array of games that the bar will be showing.
Throughout January, Slug and Lettuce will also be extending their regular 50% off food which is usually available only on Monday to encompass the rest of the week. Simply visit http://www.slugandlettuce.co.uk and register to download your voucher.

From 8pm on Saturday 26th January, Slug and Lettuce’s general manager, James Clarke and his team will be pulling out the stops to create a winter wonderland with an Apres-Ski party where, upon entry, each customer will be handed a key to see if it fits the lock to a safe containing £500 worth of holiday vouchers. Only one key will open the lock, revealing the vouchers for one lucky customer.

As well unlocking the potential to spend a few days in the sun, the Après-Ski party will offer a lip-smacking range of winter cocktails including the Cherry Chill Igloo which is served with crushed ice, Smirnoff Red Vodka, Sourz Cherry and Coca-Cola presented in an igloo glass or the BrrrAndy Alexander served with cognac and shaken with a blend of milk and cream. Cosy ear muffs and samples from the Jagermeister and WKD teams will also be available to ensure celebrations have an authentic après-ski feel.

James Clarke, general manager of the Slug and Lettuce said: “The team and I are delighted that the Slug and Lettuce is having a refurbishment and are looking forward to changes that it will bring about. The opening weekend looks set to be a celebration to remember with our Après Ski party and a super Sunday of sport. We’re delighted that we could help to make the start of 2013 truly fantastic for one of our customers, as they walk away with £500 worth of vouchers.

“The Slug and Lettuce is one of the most popular bars in Epsom. With our new look we’ll be looking to attract even more customers with our great food and drink offers combined with our commitment to offering the best customer service in the town, creating a friendly, safe environment that people can visit across a range of occasions.”
