Slug and Lettuce Set To Sparkle During The Diamond Jubilee

The team at Slug and Lettuce on Victoria Street in St. Albans have come up with a gem of an idea to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. One lucky customer who visits the bar on Sunday 3rd June will walk away with a diamond worth £500.

David Riddell, general manager of Slug and Lettuce said: “As the Diamond Jubilee draws nearer, you can feel the excitement start to build, so we wanted to use that excitement to make the most of our celebrations. To be in with a chance of winning the diamond, email slugandlettuce.stalbans@stonegatepubs.com and your name will be added to the guest list. The first 200 people on the list to arrive at the Slug and Lettuce will be given a key and all they have to do is to see whether their key fits the lock and unlocks the special box.

Dave continued, “We gave away a diamond at our re-opening in April where one of our customers, Carly Ryan, was so over the moon with winning, we thought we’d do it again in the hope that we make another customer’s evening. It also seems like the perfect opportunity to giveaway a diamond for the Diamond Jubilee.

“We’ll also be offering two-for-one cocktails on Sunday from 4pm and our resident DJ Ross will be providing plenty of great music to ensure we keep up the party spirit until we close at 1am.”

The Slug and Lettuce will be showing all of the celebrations over the course of the Diamond Jubilee Holiday. In addition to the celebrations on Sunday, the Slug and Lettuce will also be running its popular offer Happy Monday where you can get 50% off food all day.
