There’s a sense of excitement for the teams at The Brewery Inn and The Cricketers Inn, which are both owned by national pub operator, the Stonegate Pub Company, as they prepare to launch their mouth-watering new Spring/Summer menu this week.

“As the days get longer, our customers’ thoughts turn to lighter, fresher meals,” said Ruth Turner of the Stonegate Pub Company, “so our new menu has dishes that reflect the change of season. Some of the new dishes we’ve introduced include the pan fried sea bass served with lemon butter which is cooked simply, yet brings out all of the natural flavours of the fish, a Chicken, Bacon and Avocado Salad and Butternut Squash and Blue Cheese Risotto served with a garlic flatbread.

“We’ve also enhanced our grill section, which is by far the most popular choice with our customers, and that includes an 8oz Gammon Steak which is grilled to perfection and served with fried egg or a 10oz Rib Eye Steak served with plum tomato, a flat mushroom, baby watercress and chips.

“Also new on the menu are a few sharing options, people sometimes want to come into the pubs and have something to nibble on as they catch up with friends over a drink or two, so we’ve introduced a really tasty sausage platter which offers a selection of sausages from our award-winning butcher which includes the Absolut™ Bloody Mary, Beef and Ale, Pork and Juniper and Caramelised Red Onion.

“In addition to the new dishes on the menu, we’ve also concentrated on ensuring all of our popular dishes are the best they can be, by working with our suppliers to source quality products time after time. I really believe that we are offering restaurant quality food in a comfortable, relaxing pub environment at real value for money prices and would encourage people to come down to the Brewery Inn or the Cricketers to sample our great new menu.”

If you would like to attend a showcase of the new menu, the Brewery Inn will be hosting a taster evening next week and the Cricketers Inn will be hosting their taster evening on Thursday 8th March from 8pm.
