Stonegate Pub Company has scooped a top HR Distinction Award for a third consecutive year, toppling three leading global companies in the process.

The 2016 Distinction for Innovative use of Digital or Social media was awarded at Birmingham ICC on 3rd February, adding to previous Distinctions for People Development and Innovative Use of Technology.

The award was given for the success of ‘Albert’s App’, launched in August 2015, already used by 40% of the company’s 12,500 employees. Judges recognised the transformation in employee training and engagement, through real time, digital communication. The App hosts all company information, training videos and individuals training programmes amongst other features.

Collecting the award, Tim Painter, HR Director, said, “It’s a great honour for Stonegate to have been recognised at the HR distinction awards for three successive years. It reflects both the commitment we have to developing our people, and the outstanding efforts that our Managers put in to identifying and nurturing talent.’

Jon Perkins, success coach for Stonegate, also achieved highly commended as HR Rising Star of the Year. Jon has created a very different development programme based around martial arts disciplines to progress ambitious team members to GM.
