It’s all about local flavour at the Hogshead on Maundy Thursday (24th March) as the pub kicks off its 8th annual Cask Ale Festival. The festivities start at 6PM with several local brewers in attendance to talk about all things malt, hops and yeast including Broughs Brewing (Wolverhampton), The Fownes Brewing Company (Dudley), Salopian Brewery (Salisbury) and Backyard Brewhouse (Walsall).

Ale enthusiasts will get the opportunity to sample over 25 local ales in various styles, colours and strengths – there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone! The weekend’s shining star though is the award-winning Thomas Sykes seasonal brew from Burton Bridge Brewery with its warm, wine-like taste and sherry-smelling notes.

Guests can also enjoy complimentary snacks and nibbles during Thursday evening, as well as a DJ set by Signal 107 radio DJ Neil Jackson.

The fun doesn’t stop there! The Hogshead will also welcome local band ‘The Bite’ to rock the house on Sunday at 9pm.

Happy Easter Wolverhampton!
