The Hourglass customer wins £1k in national customer award

A lucky customer from Leeds pub The Hourglass has walked away with £1000 as winner of a national customer survey award.

Sam Stinton, 22, from Ilkley, was been picked at random from hundreds of customers who completed customer satisfaction surveys following visits to pubs in the 540-strong Stonegate Pub Company estate. He was automatically entered into a draw to win the cash prize which was presented to him at the pub.

Market Force, the company who manages all customer surveys, mystery visits and customer analysis on behalf of Stonegate Pub Company, offer £1000 incentive every month to customers of the pub group.

Sam, who works for a furniture store in Skipton said, “I never expected to win when I filled in the survey so it was a huge and very welcome surprise when I received the news. In fact, I thought it was a joke then I first got the call to say I’d won. I’d visited The Hourglass a few times before and that day, my girlfriend and I had popped into the pub for a bite to eat. I’ve decided to save some of the money and spend the rest on a holiday for my girlfriend and I in the Summer.”

Commenting on the win The Hourglass’ manager Kerry Payne said, “We at The Hourglass welcome reviews from our customers, and are proud that someone from our local community was chosen to accept the £1,000 reward for the ‘Love Our Pub’ scheme.
