With help from their customers, the team at the Slug at Lettuce on Southgate in Chichester recently raised over £500 by hosting a Goodwood themed evening.

The money raised will go to Coco’s Foundation, a charity that was set up by Creations Hair and Beauty, who are planning to go to South Africa with the aim to building a house for a community in need.

Mellissa Harris, general manager of the Slug and Lettuce, which is owned and operated by the award winning Stonegate Pub Company said: “We’re delighted that we raised over £500 and we would like to thank everyone who came along to the Goodwood themed evening. Our thanks also go out to all of the local businesses that donated raffle prizes and Sean Forry, the race coordinator on the night.

“There was an incredible atmosphere and everyone embraced the venue. It’s great that we can contribute towards Coco’s Foundation. Goodwood is something that we look forward to every year so we thought we would get the excitement building by hosting this themed charity fundraiser.”
