Yates’s in Queen’s Square is Open For Business

The team at Yates’s in Queen’s Square celebrated their reopening on Thursday 1st December following an investment of £300,000 which has seen the bar transformed just in time for the Christmas celebrations.

Colin Hodge, licensee of Yates’s said: “The team and I are delighted with all the positive feedback we’ve had from our customers – it seems as if they like the changes as much as we do!

“The bar looks really different; the £300,000 has gone a long way and the fact that all the work was completed in just ten days is amazing. Everything has been updated we’ve got new furniture throughout and a new dance floor complete with a state of the art lighting and sound system which will really help to create a great party atmosphere on the weekend. We’ve also had a new colour scheme with stylish flock wallpaper which gives the bar a modern feel.

“I took over as manager just two months ago, so to be a part of this transformation is fantastic. The bar was looking a little tired before and now the team are rejuvenated and raring to go, confident that they can offer our customers the very best service in the very best surroundings!

“Thursday night was a real success with a great evening of entertainment. We had local artist, Kieran McKay who was just brilliant and was received really well by our customers. We also had street magicians who kept the crowds entertained whilst they queued to get into the bar along with fire eaters and stilt walkers.

“One of the major talking points of the night was of course the appearance of Joey Essex from ITV2’s The Only Way is Essex – all the ladies went crazy for him! However, a lot of the girls were talking about our chatterbox toilet which was also introduced as part of the refurbishment. We call it the chatterbox because there are two toilets in one larger than normal cubicle which means that even if the ladies need to the toilet, they can carry on the conversation!

“We’re really looking forward to seeing what the people of Liverpool think about our new look and look forward to welcoming them to Yates’s whether it’s for a bite to eat or a place to meet up with friends for a night out.”
