Renowned as the halfway point on the famous Otley Pub Run, no longer will it just be the point where day turns to night, instead oozing ‘craft’ to the aspirational student, hipster shopper, and sports enthusiast with a love of cask and craft beer, handcrafted street food, amidst music that knows what time of day it is.
Industrialised with illuminating neons, rustic copper and reformed wood, it’s a pub that suddenly stands not just because of its impressive position on the corner of its namesake.
The change has definitely added individual character. If fizz served from a VW camper van, a back wall of craft taps, Sicilian inspired hand-crafted pizzas, and Jazz sounds like the kind of modern- day pub to fall in love with, then this is definitely a development to visit.
Sat alongside the home of cricket and rugby the best in sports – it would be rude not to match it! Nine HD screens, two large screens, Sky and BT sports, bespoke bookable VIP booths with embedded TV’s, and table service luxury during big games, certainly do Headingly proud.

Beer aficionados get six cask ales including local award winning beers and six taps offering the most eye-catching back-wall shrine to the craft ale revolution. Bestseller Naylor’s bespoke brewed ‘Hyde Park Blonde’ remains a permanent fixture appearing alongside other firm favourites Ilkley’s Mary Jane, Leeds Pale Ale and Moorhouse Blonde Witch.
Bang on trend for todays modern pub goers, fourteen gins including Tanqueray, Bathtub and Monkey 47 line the bar alongside quality cocktails: mint julep, caramel old fashioned, expresso martini, bellini’s and a fizz Friday offer with bottles of prosecco for just £14.
Ten hand-stretched stone baked pizzas, and a combination of tapas provide the ultimate socialising food whilst pub favourites like beef and ale pie and burgers with their own recipe beef patties finish the new menu off.
