Squares on The Poultry in Nottingham will be hosting a charity event in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

The free-to-attend evening’s highlight will be the UK’s favourite Robbie Williams tribute artist, look and sound-alike Matthew Holbrook, whose show perfectly emulates the sound and stage presence of the famous singer. After the show, there will be a DJ to keep the party mood going until late.

Customers will be able to support the charity by purchasing £1 ticket strips for the raffle with various fantastic prizes, all donated by generous local businesses.

These include a party box containing 36 pints of ale, courtesy of Nottingham Brewery, and a three-course meal for two with a bottle of wine, given away by our colleagues at the Willow Tree in West Bridgford. The Nottingham Ice Arena will be treating a family of four to free ice-skating passes.

Adam Glover, Deputy Manager of Squares Nottingham, has organised the event in support of the work which Prostate Cancer UK does to help focus on radical improvements in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the disease, ultimately preventing more men dying from the illness.

Adam said: “I chose this charity, because so many men neglect themselves in general, mainly due to pride or to fit in with a ‘norm’. I want to be able to raise as much awareness for this cause as I can and show that it’s ok to get yourself checked out and that you should take care of yourself. I’m aiming to raise £300 for the charity.”

The event comes as part of Adam’s participation in Stonegate Pub Company’s career development programme,  ‘Accelerator’ as he begins his first general managerial position at Squares.
