The Coach & Horses, on the High Road in Ickenham, is holding its first ever ‘Coach Fest’ on Saturday 3rd August. The live music festival is set to run from midday to 10pm in the pub’s garden and will be raising money for the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity, in support of the innovative treatments, equipment and research the charity funds.

Customers can expect ten different acts, forming an eclectic range of music genres, performing throughout the day. From headliners, the acoustic duo, Thought Reflection, to mixed covers trio, Funk & Tingz, and singer songwriter, Amelle Rose, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

The pub will be putting on a barbecue specially for the occasion, as well as an arts and crafts stall, face painting, an outside bar and the opportunity to sit down with the musicians to learn about their instruments. Performing artist, Sam Rooney, will even be offering free Piano Workshops for children.

Representatives from Harefield Hospital will also be on hand to speak to customers about the amazing work they do in the community, particularly with babies, children and young people.

Paul Newton, General Manager of the Coach & Horses, said: “We have some great acts coming to show us what they’ve got – I’m really looking forward to it! This is the first instalment of what I hope will be an annual event at the Coach & Horses and it looks like the weather is going to be just right. We have a lovely garden, with a great atmosphere, so add some live music, and you’ve got the perfect way to spend a Saturday.

“We started raising money for the Harefield Hospital when I started as manager at the pub. It is just down the road from us, and it was important to me to support a charity that had a local impact. We’ve already managed to raise over £700 so far this year, so I’m hoping the Coach Fest will keep that total going up.”
