Sutton pub The Gander Inn is to freshen up with a makeover and will create one new role when it re-opens this Friday 1st November from midday.

The pub on St Dunstans Hill in the town, will celebrate with a special 1960’s themed party from 7pm on Friday 1st November. Guests will be invited to enjoy tasters from the pub’s menu before getting into the groove with music from 60’s duo ‘Sixties Couture’.

“We’ve opened up the bar area and redecorated so that it feels much bigger and brighter in the pub now. In fact it’s made a huge difference”, said general manager Zoe Jeffrey. “And we’ve installed a second huge screen so we can showcase all the best live sporting action too.”

The pub has several events planned over the coming few weeks with a DJ-led halloween party on Saturday 2nd November followed by a special ‘Blue Brothers’ tribute night later in the month on Saturday 30th November.

Other popular nights at the pub include the regular Monday Night killer pool competition and its Friday and Saturday night DJ party weekends.
