A new chic bar is about to storm Sidcup and it’s a haven for the modern quirky trendsetters with its focus on urban individuality and craft beer.
With a nod to its roots, the new pub has taken its name from the former Anglo Saxon town name of ‘Cetecopp,’which translates to ‘Hilltop’ with tap added to represent its new craft beers. It’s enigmatic team has also doubled in number adding ten new roles.
It’s one for Sidcup’s fashionistas, artists, and en mode spiritualists. With a tasteful blend of suave and sophisticated, mixed with the perfect amount of edgy, the Hilltop Tap remedies the needs of modern pub goers.
Reopening on the 30th November a VIP will showcase the elegant design, reclaimed wood, industrialised décor and what can only be described as a shrine to craft beer with ten taps lining the wall, illuminated by neon lighting. Lilley’s Cider and Meantime brewery will offer an insight into the world of craft followed by upbeat chart toppers from 5-9pm when a DJ takes to the decks a sign of what’s to come in lively weekends.
Sport is a focal point with seven HD screens including three bookable VIP booths and Sky and BT sports showing Boxing to horseracing and everything in between, with the added bonus of table service during big games meaning a score need never be missed.
Craft Beers ‘Prohibition’ and ‘Pig and Porter’ dominate the line up, the rest with a rotation of national and local craft brews and cask ales from local stars Bexley and Kent breweries.
A gin emporium of no less than twenty variations includes traditional and quirky flavours like rhubarb, complimented with flavoured tonics and an array of garnishes. Cocktails don’t go amiss either with the Zombie, Pornstar martini and caramel old fashioned just a few on the extensive menu, whilst Victorian punch bowls of either Gin fizz or Rum Punch serve as the perfect table decoration!
Food flows from tempting tapas sharers to artisan wood-fire oven pizzas or the brand new Wagyu beef burger, Japanese beef loaded with cheese sauce in a brioche bun, served in packaging so it steams from grill to plate.
If you can fit in a sweet treat, why not go for the sharing pudding pizza. Topped with fruit and cinnamon crumble, marshmallows, salted caramel sauce and served with ice cream, it’s the ultimate indulgence.
With lively weekends on the horizon, Friday and Saturday night DJs, live bands and comedy nights are all planned for the New Year.
Ends 28th November 2017
