The Lamb at the heart of the Edmonton community reopened for business on Friday, 2nd December, after a six-figure refurbishment for the renowned traditional local and gem of a British pub, welcomed by local and TV star Linda Lambert.

The £100,000 refurbishment, courtesy of owners Stonegate Pub Company, sees a fresh, newly decorated interior, whilst the already strong sports focus is enhanced with five new HD TV screens. There’s a great cask ale range too and a new menu of ‘Seven Deadly Gins’, premium gins exquisitely garnished to enhance the botanicals.

A Grand Reopening Party revealed the transformation with exclusive access and complimentary glass of fizz with Linda Lambert, from the popular auction show, Storage Hunters.

General Manager Anne-Marie Hunt expects the sports viewing and Table Service during big games, to go down a storm. “The area has seen many pubs go through a change of use but we’ve gone completely the opposite way developing the tradition in our local adding the most up to date technology,” she explains.

“We’ve moved a few pillars around as well so our pool fanatics can play properly – so we really are all about sport, which is great for bringing the community together.”

Anne-Marie, who has been running the pub for the last three years, has organised charity race nights and fun runs and other charity fundraising alongside other events to pull the community together such as fete days and says there will be more of this in the future..

There will be an occasion to go out every day from Monday to Sunday with pool knockout; Cask Tuesday with all pints £1.95; Wednesday gin; Thursday quiz and darts; that ‘Friday feeling’, Saturday karaoke; and Sunday Poker.

With Sky Sport, Sky Premier and BT Sport, topping the bill the great British pub definitely lives on in Edmonton.
