Bambos Charalambous, MP for Enfield Southgate visited the Occasional Half last Friday to mark its official re-opening following the completion of a significant £131,000 investment in the site.
During his visit, Mr Charalambous met General Manager, Sue Smyth and Area Manager, Tim Greaves. He was given a tour of the venue and learnt about Stonegate’s apprenticeships, training and development schemes. Mr Charalambous even tried his hand at pulling a pint.
Following his visit, Bambos Charalambous, said: “It was great to be able to celebrate with the Occasional Half and mark its first night of trading following the recent refurbishment. It was fantastic to meet Sue and hear about how she first started at the Occasional Half as bar staff and has since worked her way up to being the General Manager. Sue is a testament to the commitment Stonegate Pub Company makes in investing and supporting its employees.”
