Slug and Lettuce has this month re-launched its website http://www.slugandlettuce.co.uk with a fresh new look and added features.
The 71-strong bar group, which is owned and operated by Stonegate Pub Company, appointed digital agency Clock to design and implement the new website which now has a new and improved booking system feature; one that is simpler to use and has much greater functionality.
The site’s new look, with its clean lines and clear messaging, echoes the design and ethos of the bars themselves and makes navigating from page to page easy to do. It is expected that the upgraded booking system will handle initially over 3,400 reservations a month from the 125,000 website visitors during the same period.
In addition to standard features such as finding your local bar, looking up menus and checking out the latest in-bar promotions, other features include a click-through to each bar’s own pages where readers can get up-to-date information on what’s on in each location, contact details and photos from recent events and nights at the bar.
On top of this, Clock has delivered a new email campaign manager system enabling the bar group to communicate with its 450,000 strong user base. Combined with booking emails, the system will be used to send out an estimated 21,000,000 emails per year.
