In the heart of Winchester, leading bar chain, the Slug and Lettuce will be restoring its grade II listed building to its former glory with a £200K investment.

Situated across two floors, the refurbishment will see this timeless establishment receive a glamorous new look across its two floors with the introduction of a beautiful new outside seating area, incorporating stunning views of the Cathedral gardens. With 2-for-1 cocktails all day every day, Cocktail Masterclasses and ‘Wine Down Wednesdays’, the new offering will cater for a variety of occasions, whether it be a birthday celebration or a long leisurely catch up with friends.

A launch party will be taking place on the 23rd June 2016, where the first 100 guests will receive a complimentary glass of Prosecco whilst sampling a variety of delicacies from the new food and drinks menu, brining world cuisine to the high street. Combining foreign flavours with the existing best of British offering, guests can sample everything from Moroccan lamb, to Thai-style noodles and even alcoholic ice-cream. The drinks menu has also been refreshed so that customers can wash their meals down with the best cocktails in town, with a new draught and bottle section at the weekend.

Francesca Dickinson, General Manager of The Slug and Lettuce Winchester, said: “We have been incredibly lucky with this venue as due to its size and fantastic exterior, we have always stood out on the high street, but it is great that we will be able to re-launch to the people of Winchester with a gorgeous new interior. We are hoping that the introduction of our new cocktail master class and our Fast and Fresh lunch time offer, will provide locals with something fresh and innovative!“
