Staff at the Brass Monkey are up for auction this weekend as the pub raises money in aid of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.

Throughout the Bank Holiday the Plymouth pub will celebrate with a pirate theme and offering live entertainment from local bands Feedback and Freshly Squeezed. “We have activity all weekend” said manager Michael Jonas “with music starting on Friday with DJ Nellie and live bands Saturday and Sunday.”

“We start the weekend with a DJ, Karaoke and the big draw of auctioning off our staff. It’s sure to be great fun and as I have a priceless team it is sure to raise a bob or two!”

A treasure trove of goodies has been donated from local business, including prizes from The Berkeley, St Austell Brewery, Cornish Rattler and Hunters Breweries.

The draw takes place on Sunday 26th August.

Throughout the weekend the team from the pub will be hitting the streets drumming up donations as they put their artistic skills to the test with face-painting. “Any child that then appears at the pub will get a free child’s meal when their parents dine here” added Michael.
