The Chantry in Chichester is going the extra mile to spread festive cheer to one and all this holiday season. The pub is partnering with Love Your Hospital and St Richards Hospital to collect gifts for hospital patients of all ages, to be delivered on 14th December.
Over the next two weeks, customers will be encouraged to pick a card from the Christmas tree. Each card suggests the age and gender of someone to buy a gift for, ranging from new-born to the elderly. Customers can then donate an appropriate gift by bringing it into the pub. All gifts should be packaged and unwrapped.
Deputy Manager, Samantha Cliff, wanted to give back to the local community, which is why she chose to partner with Love Your Hospital. The charity is raising funds to supply three local hospitals with new equipment, improved facilities and support staff.
She said: “St Richards is our local hospital and it does an amazing job caring for the sick. It’s always nice to give to those who need a little lift around the Christmas time.”
